About Us
History Pal Joey's was established in the spring of
1973. Although its original owner has the name Joey, the name of the
restaurant originates from the musical and subsequent movie named "Pal
Joey". Pal Joey's has prided itself with a pizza that has remained
consistent throughout its 32 year history. The pizza was given 4 stars
by Chicago Tribune food critics and named as one of the best pan pizzas
in the Chicago area. New Owners In the spring of 2001, Pal Joey’s made
a transition of ownership. New owners John Hamel and Greg Miller took
over with only one goal in mind do not change the core business that
had been a staple in the area for so many years. John and Greg succeeded
in not making any significant changes to the core menu however; they
added lunch and dinner specials that have allowed diners to choose a
good quality meal as well as the traditional staples. Catering Begins Pal Joey's now offers
extensive catering that most any menu taste and budget will appreciate.
This new feature has grown rapidly since 2003 when it was first offered.
We now cater events from 3-1,500 people at prices from $5-$65 per person.
In addition to our catering business we also offer carry out at our Main
Restaurant, pizza take out and eat in at the Wheaton Bowl and lunch in
our café in the K-commons at the College of DuPage. Parties at Pal Joey's Let Pal Joey's host
your next party or meeting. Pal Joey's is available for private or semi
private parties Saturday & Sunday 12 pm – 4 pm without a room charge. We will also
reserve the back room for private parties of 20-60 people during the
week upon request. We have hosted business meetings, team parties, reunions,
birthdays, rehearsal dinners and more. New Location We have moved to our new location 1/4 mile west in the Prairie Center development. The new location offers the same great food in an updated setting, a larger lounge to sit and have a drink or eat. Look for live entertainment on occasion in the café and adjoining lounge.
